Faction Rewards - Guild Wars Forums

I did a search for this, but couldn't find my answer.

When I reach a certain amount of faction, it sometimes says I get a reward.

Just now I reached 4000 faction (though I've apready spent 1000 of it).

It told me to go to a priest to get my reward. Is the reward that I get to spend my hard earned faction to unlock something? Or do they actually give me some freebie or something.

It's happened twice and both times I got nothing. And someone in game just called me a noob for asking about the rewards. They said you just spend it to unlock skills... which isn't a reward at all. That's just what faction is meant for...

So, is there an actual reward or was it just worded poorly and gave me the impression that there was a reward other than *spending* my faction to get something unlocked.

The "reward" is for you to unlock stuff for your pvp character. You don't get any cookies from the priest.

you can unlock runes.. skills.. weapons.. no cookies though..

The rewards is that you can now spend the faction you've earned. If you have less than 1000, then sure, you have faction, but nothing you can do with it. The reward is the ability to spend it.
